Last Poet Laughing Time and Place: January 24 at 6:30 pm. Bamm's Snack Shack, 74 Cobourg Dessa Bayrock, Jeff Blackman, David Currie, Jenna Jarvis, Ian Martin Space is limited for this panel show poetry event. Five of Ottawa’s funniest poets will go poem-to-poem for five rounds to be crowned the NCC’s greatest buzzkill. Hosted by Bam Snack Shack, Chef Matt Atton has created five unique dishes inspired by each poet. This dinner-and-a-show event will be hosted by friend of the festival, Jennifer Baker. She will enforce the rules and run tie-breaking games. What are the rules? None of the five poets is allowed to laugh, crack a smile, break, or smirk during each other’s poems. The audience will join Jennifer in keeping an eye out for any infractions. Round by round, one poet will be eliminated until a winner is crowned.
