Five of Ottawa’s funniest poets will go poem-to-poem for five rounds to be crowned the NCC’s greatest buzzkill. Hosted by Bam Snack Shack, Chef Matt Atton has created five unique dishes inspired by each poet. This dinner-and-a-show event will be hosted by friend of the festival, Jennifer Baker. She will enforce the rules and run tie-breaking games. What are the rules? None of the five poets is allowed to laugh, crack a smile, break, or smirk during each other’s poems. The audience will join Jennifer in keeping an eye out for any infractions. Round by round, one poet will be eliminated until a winner is crowned.
