Rona Shaffran
Rona Shaffran is an Ottawa resident. She was born in Montreal and moved to Ottawa in mid-1970. After a long hiatus, she resumed writing some three years ago. In her poems, she seeks to convey a genuineness of feeling and to set down reality in a fresh way. Rona Shaffran writes about love and loss, passion and sadness, and nature. Her subjects meld together, just as joy and sadness do in life.
