Eleni Zisimatos Auerbach
Eleni Zisimatos Auerbach was born and raised in Montreal. She has published work in Canadian and US journals, including The Antigonish Review, The Fiddlehead, Matrix, Spire, Slingshot, Descant, Trouble, Soliloquies and others. Her work is forthcoming in Musings, a new anthology of Greek Canadian writing and in Other Voices. She received honourable mention for the 2002 National Magazine Awards competition. Recent chapbooks include Summations: travels through Italy (above/ground) and night poems (moonsweat). She was a finalist for two Irving Layton awards in poetry and fiction at Concordia University. She is co-editor (and co-founder) of Vallum: contemporary poetry, a journal of poetry, essays and reviews, and has completed a second MA degree in Creative Writing at Concordia. Her recent poetry manuscript is entitled Oracular.
