John Gillies
John Gillies has written a novel, poems, short stories, and numerous songs, which he performs and records here in the nation’s Capital. Drawing from shared dialogue between discourses of visual arts, language and music, and those of science, his poems provide the music of thought wed to voice. His most recent project, Sol-étude is a collection of poems written thanks to the assistance of a City of Ottawa English Literature Arts Grant, which are dual remappings of the two official languages in the form of musical soli.
