Denis Robillard
My name is Denis Robillard. I am a 50 year old high school teacher living in Windsor, Ontario. I am also a published poet and historical researcher. I also love to travel in Canada and the United States. Now happily married and with 4 children I still find the occasional time to write poetry, do readings and get published. To date I have over 180 publications in magazines and on line publications around Canada, The USA and Europe. These include: Ditch, Encore Magazine (Montreal) Orange Room Review, Rampike, Kaleidoscope Magazine, Algoma Ink, Rattle, The Windsor Review, The Saving Bannister (Niagara Falls) Bolts of Silk (Scotland) Black Moss press and a host of others too numerous to mention. I have also published 4 chapbooks with various publishers between 1998 and 2014. I have entered countless contests and done countless readings mostly in Ontario the last 5 years. I am a dogged supporter of poetry! I have worked as a probation officer and journalist too. For the past 14 years I have lived in the deep south, ( Windsor ) working as a high school English teacher. My heart still lies in the north, in the deep dark places by the Cambrian shield. My heart smells the pine sap and jumps like a pike in the bottomless green lakes. I still have dirt under my finger nails too. In 2011 I was published in Windsor Review and Bolts of Silk. My poems were also featured in a Black Moss press War of 1812 Anthology called An Unfinished War. You may also see my article work on occasion in the pages of Hey Philippines Magazine in Windsor.
