Editor’s Notes

Greetings Readers,

This month's issue features poetry by Geoff Cross and Daniel Boland. Geoff is a recent University of Ottawa graduate who has never been published by Bywords before and Daniel is a long time resident whose poetry appeared in Bywords.ca in our first year in 2003. It's great to see both emerging and established poets contributing.

Along with its usual plethora of literary events, September is also the time for an important fundraiser, the AIDS Walk for Life, which takes place on September 24 at City Hall. Since our inception, Bywords.ca has been taking part by forming a team composed of a few members of the selection committee and the community. We help to raise money for services to those with AIDS/HIV and awareness. This year we're raising money for Pink Triangle Services, a local organization that provides support, counselling and resources, including a library full of books. I urge you to join the team and walk with us on the 24th or sponsor us. Your help will go a long way to ensuring that we provide excellent support to those in our community who are living with AIDS/HIV. You can join the team or sponsor us via this link.

Thanks to this month's selection committee:
