Editor’s Notes

Greetings readers,

This issue features poems by Asoka Weerasinghe and Lisa Xing. Asoka is a long time Ottawa resident and poet and Lisa Xing is a former Ottawa resident who attended Carleton University.

I hope you have the chance to attend a few of the great upcoming poetry readings this month. Gary Barwin is back in town at the end of the month as part of the a b series; Erín Moure is launching a new poetry book over at Café Nostalgica; Sina Queyras will be reading at Tree and Henry Beissel will be at Sasquatch.

April will be an exciting month for poetry readings and other literary events with the Ottawa International Writers Festival's spring edition. They have moved to the Mayfair Theatre in Old Ottawa South, close to all the best pubs. That has to be a good thing.

I hope you've been enjoying March's balmy weather and are celebrating by venturing out to some of the great literary events we have in this city.
